SmartFish ErgoMotion Mouse Review

The number of people suffering from Repetitive Stress Injury and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is on the rise and so too is the number of “ergonomic” mice available in the marketplace. Ergonomic mice are certainly nothing new; however SmartFish and their ErgoMotion Laser Mouse is certainly a new twist on the old way of accomplishing things as it looks a heck of a lot like a normal mouse. As a sufferer of bilateral CTS my question is does it work and is their any downsides? Read on for my full review.

Dune Bug E – Dune Buggy Electric Conversion Part 6

dune-bug-e-dune-buggy-electric-conversion-part-6_3

Frank has completed the next phase in the Dune Bug E Build, we saw the last build update back in May. It is interesting to see what is involved in making a normal differential into a locked differential, this process allows both rear wheels to always be powered with no slipping. The gearing has also been changed increasing the top speed of the vehicle.

“Since the internal gear ratios were unchanged the 22 tooth drive sprocket was upgraded to a 38 tooth unit as pictured here. This has bumped the top speed on level ground to approx 35Km/hr, though the chain noise is considerably louder.

Basic stats and generalizations – the Bug-E can cover 8 to 12Km from the Parallel combined battery banks, with a flat ground top speed of approx 35Km/hr, factors that affect range are Solo or Passenger driving, terrain, aggressiveness of driving.”

Toshiba Debuts Tiny and Dim Pocket Projector

I like the promise that Pico Projectors make. Being able to take a small projector with you easily and have that projector run on batteries to give presentations or watch content on a larger screen is a very nice thing. The reality is that the technology of today isn’t there to make a pocket projector work for most people.

Toshiba has unveiled a new pocket projector called the Lumileo P100. The little projector has the same basic flaw all of its kind do – poor brightness. The P100 has a mere 14 lumens and tells you a dark room in required to get the 65-inch image it can throw. It has a contrast ratio of 200:1.

Inputs include RCA and VGA and the projector runs from a rechargeable battery. The P100 measures 116 x 50 x 18mm and weighs 96g with the battery installed. The sound system is a pair of 0.5W stereo speakers. Pricing and availability are unknown.
